A Message from Pastor Larry –  February 2008

Dear Saints:

Usually, my newsletter articles are not advertisements, but this month I want to send one last reminder to everyone about the Catch the Spirit conference on February 8-9 in Atlanta. It will be held for the first time, that I’m aware of, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, and the keynote speaker will be noted evangelism and outreach authority Leonard Sweet, one of the church’s most creative and challenging thinkers.

In addition to Sweet’s presentations, there will be many useful workshops for you to attend covering a number of interests. And, as always, there will be meaningful worship with our Lutheran brothers and sisters from all over the Southeast, and the opportunity to make new contacts and friends.

Over the last five years we've had anywhere from 12 to 15 people attend from our congregation. Every year we bring one of the largest groups, which always makes me so proud to be associated with St. Matthew!

If you've never been to Catch the Spirit before I hope you will consider attending this year. And if you have been in the past, please join us again for a fun, informative two days in Atlanta.

The registration fee is $25.00 now, and $30.00 at the door. Food and lodging, however, are your own responsibility. You may learn more by going on-line to www.catchthespiritlutheran.org. Time is running out, so contact our Office Administrator, Eric Holloway, at 706-561-3406 to register. I'll be looking forward to seeing you there!

Faithfully,

Pastor Larry
